The State of Texas v. B.L.M.

Case Number: 16-0675-K277

The state of Texas charged the client with aggravated sexual assault of a child and indecency with a child.  Along with co-counsel, Scott Magee, the Defense aggressively challenged the State’s case.  Joe was able to get the State’s expert witness to admit that according to established research regarding child sex offenses, the alleged victim should have remembered more about the alleged assault.  The first case ended in a mistrial.

Result: Client eventually pled no contest to a state jail felony of injury to a child and was placed on three years deferred adjudication probation.  He will not have a felony conviction when he completes probation.
